Good Morning Laurel Families, this is Dr. Larrimore with an important announcement about our 1:1 technology initiative.
I am thrilled to announce our Summer Digital Learning Program for all Laurel students in 1st through 11th grade. This program allows students to keep their Chromebooks so they can access on-line, self-paced learning throughout the summer. As a reminder, seniors should be turning in their Chromebooks today to ensure they can participate in our commencement ceremony.
Students will have access to reading and math programs, as well as a digital library with thousands of books at their fingertips. By completing a few learning activities per week, students can boost their literacy and math skills and make up for the lost learning during the pandemic.
In addition, there will be incentive programs at each school, rewarding students for their summer learning.
Soon, each family will be receiving information in the mail, and on the district website, detailing the digital learning opportunities and incentive programs available to our students.
Please feel free to contact your student’s Principal if you have any questions.
