Retired DSP Trooper to be Recommended for LSD's Chief Constable Spot

The Laurel School District is proud to announce its recommendation to the Board of Education for its Chief Constable position--Retired Delaware State Trooper, Thomas Elliott.

Officer Elliott served over 30 years as a Delaware State Trooper, working various assignments such as: Uniformed Patrol, Domestic Violence Detective, Polygraph Examiner, COPT Firearms Instructor, Victim Services Officers, and Tactical Control. Officer Elliott also served as a member of the Delaware State Police Honor Guard--an distinction bestowed on officers with exemplary character.

Since his retirement from the Delaware State Police, Officer Elliott has served as a school constable within the Indian River School District.

Officer Elliott and his wife Kathy live in Laurel, have three children, and are expecting their first grandchild in December.

Dr. Larrimore will be recommending Officer Elliott be hired for the position as Chief Constable at the next Laurel Board of Education meeting, set for Wednesday, September 21.
